Terms and Conditions for Workshops and the Transpersonal Coaching Training, Version 2.0, 21-12-2019
Article 1 - General
1.1 These general terms and conditions apply to all agreements between ICU School for Transpersonal Growth and Coaching (formerly Inspirational Communication Unlimited), hereafter referred to as ‘ICU,’ and participants in workshops or the Transpersonal Coaching Training (hereafter referred to as ‘the (coach) training’) provided by ICU.
ICU is located at Krachtwijkerweg 11, 3828 PM Hoogland, and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 54138744.

1.2 In these general terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:
• Participant: the person who will actually attend the workshop or coach training.
• Contractor: the person who is responsible for the payment of the workshop or coach training.
• Cancel: the (temporary) cancellation of a workshop or training year by the participant or contractor.
• Start date of the workshop or training year: the first day of a workshop or training year; this will be confirmed to the participant via email.
• Costs of a workshop or training year: the costs of the workshop or training year as listed on the ICU website.
1.3 These general terms and conditions take effect at the moment of registration for a workshop or training year.
1.4 The costs for a workshop or training year include:
• Costs of handouts.
• Coffee and tea at the venue.
Not included:
• Recommended syllabi and textbooks.
• Travel costs.
Costs for meals and overnight stays are included for both individual workshops and the weekend workshops that are part of the first two years of the training program. Costs for meals and overnight stays are not included for the remaining class days of the coaching training.
1.5 Participants in a workshop or training year are required to report any (physical and mental) limitations that may negatively affect their participation or the participation of other participants and/or the guidance by trainers and assistants. This obligation applies both in advance, i.e., before the start date, and during the workshop or training year.
1.6 ICU reserves the right to refuse registrations for a workshop, training, or training year. In that case, the candidate participant will be informed via email, and any payments already made will be refunded.
Article 2 - Registration, Admission, and Participation
2.1a Registration for a workshop takes place in two steps:
• By sending an email to ICU’s secretariat (with or without the contact form on our website), and
• By transferring the required amount to ICU (see article 4, Payment, for details).
For some workshops, a prerequisite for admission is that the participant has previously attended one or two specific workshops at ICU; these conditions are stated on the ICU website with the description of the relevant workshops.
Registration for a workshop is only final once the full payment has been received, and ICU has informed the participant via email that they have been admitted to the workshop.
2.1b Registration for a training year takes place in three steps:
• By sending the fully completed, dated, and signed Registration Form for the Transpersonal Coaching Training (available on request from the secretariat), along with a copy of a valid ID, to: ICU, Krachtwijkerweg 11, 3828 PM Hoogland,
• By an intake interview if the lead trainers of ICU deem it necessary based on the completed registration form or other information,
• By transferring the required amount to ICU (see article 4, Payment, for details).
Registration for a training year is only final once either the full amount or the first installment payment has been received, and ICU has informed the participant via email that they have been admitted to the training year.
2.2 The processing of registrations and application forms will be in the order of receipt.
Article 3 - Execution
3.1 ICU will deliver the workshop for which the participant has registered in accordance with the information provided on the ICU website at the time of the start date.
3.2 ICU reserves the right to cancel a workshop or training year if the minimum number of registrations is not met or if special circumstances require cancellation, as deemed necessary by the trainer(s). Registered participants will be notified via email and will receive a refund of any amounts already paid.
Article 4 - Payment
All amounts are due and payable in advance. Full payment for the workshop must be made before the relevant start date. For a training year, ICU must receive either the full amount or the first installment payment before the start date, as agreed in the registration form. Payment should be made to account number NL05 RABO 0170239039 in the name of Inspirational Communication Unlimited, mentioning the start date and workshop name or the relevant training year (TPC1, TPC2, or TPC3).
Article 5 - Payment Arrangement
If the contractor cannot fully meet the payment obligation due to a special circumstance, they may contact ICU in writing or by email to request a payment arrangement. If ICU agrees to the request, the payment arrangement will be confirmed in writing or by email. This confirmation will serve as the only evidence of the payment agreement.
Article 6 - Default
6.1 If payment is not made on time, all costs incurred due to default, plus the statutory interest, will be for the account of the contractor.
6.2 If payment is not made on time, the participant may be denied access to the relevant workshop or training year.
Article 7 - Cancellation
7.1 Cancellation of a workshop or training year can only be done in writing or by email. The date of the postmark or the email will serve as the notification date for the cancellation. The confirmation from ICU via email will serve as proof of cancellation. The start date of the relevant workshop or training year will be the basis for handling the cancellation.
7.2 Cancellation costs:
• For a workshop:
• Up to one week before the start date, the cancellation fee is 20% of the total workshop costs.
• From one week before the start date until the start date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total workshop costs.
• For a training year:
• Up to one month before the start date, no cancellation fees are charged.
• From one month before the start date until the start date, the cancellation fee is €500.
For both workshops and the coaching training, cancellation fees will be waived if the participant arranges a replacement participant.
7.3 The cancellation costs are immediately due and payable.
7.4 If the participant passes away or in the event of exceptional circumstances where the payment of cancellation costs would be unreasonable, a written or emailed request for a waiver may be submitted to ICU. ICU reserves the right to request written evidence. In such cases, the cancellation costs will be waived.
Article 8 - Copyright
All rights to the study material provided during a workshop or training year remain with ICU. Nothing from this study material may be reproduced, stored in an automated data file, or disclosed in any form or by any means, whether electronically, mechanically, by photocopying, recording, or in any other manner without prior written consent from ICU. It is not allowed to make the material available to third parties.
Article 9 - Personal Data and Privacy Statement
Name and address details will be included in the ICU customer database and used to keep participants informed of workshops, training, and coaching programs. ICU will manage the personal data obtained in accordance with the law. If the individual indicates that they no longer wish to receive information, that request will be respected immediately. Article 10 - Law and Disputes
These general terms and conditions are governed solely by Dutch law. Only Dutch courts are authorized to settle disputes.
